GCF Racing Rules
1. The drafts for driver selections are currently taken place at Park Ten Lanes in Diamondhead,Ms. with exceptions for the first and last race A draft schedule for dates will be posted and a hard copy will be available. The drivers will be active until the next live draft unless there is a qualifying problem which is covered in rule 5.
2. The picking order for Race 1, the halfway race and the Last race will be determine by drawing team names. The picking orders for Race 1, 18 and 36 will be done at the yearly banquet . There will be four rounds of picking. The picking for the races will go from the first team selected to the last team (Rounds 1 and 3) selected and then from the last team selected to the first team selected (Rounds 2 and 4).
The draft for the last race and middle race will be done by phone.
3. Picking order for all other drafts will be determined by Team Standings. The last place team will pick first up the ladder to the first place team. This will be repeated for four round of picking.
3. Each team will select 4 drivers (Not the car) at each draft. Drivers can be selected more than once.
4. In case of an absence a team can submit a pick list to or allow another member for selecting drivers. If no list is submitted the league will pick by the current point standings for the absent team.
5. If a team or teams has more than one driver that does not make the race for any reason, their fourth pick will be replaced by the first driver highest in the point standings that was not picked more than once. If more than one team has only two drivers in the race the team lowest in points gets first selection. This will remain their team until the next draft or the situation happens again.
6. If a new teams starts after Race 1 he will begin in last place, one point behind the next team
7. Points will be scoring using NASCARs point system. The last ten races will be scored the same as the first twenty six races. (Stage point will be awarded for all Races)
8. Each team will receive a total of the top three drivers points on their teams for their race total. The teams lowest driver points for the week will not count.
9. A team will receive the same penalty as NASCAR directs to the drivers on their team with the maximum penalty per driver to be 25 Points. A disqualification is treated the same as an after race penalty The penalty is assessed after the teams highest three drivers for the week are scored. The team will not receive the penalty if it is against the driver that has the least points for the week prior to the penalty.
10. (Rule 10 is Obsolete) For Clarity in future only, due to maximum penalty of 25 Points. Rule 10 was associated with disqualifications. But rule 9 covers disqualifications. Rule 10 said the points shown by NASCAR after disqualification is what we use. That is OBE.
11. The tie breaker system as follows:
First Tiebreaker - Most winning dollars for the year
Second Tiebreaker - Most winning drivers
Third tiebreaker - Most second place driver finishes
Ties breaker will continue down to the third, fourth finishing drivers and so on.
12. Yearly entry fee for existing owners is $5. and $10 for new members.
Each race cost $6
If a driver does not qualify - $2 fee
If any of your top three drives as chosen at the draft is replaced by your fourth driver the following fee applies $4 first driver , $3 second drive and $2 for your third driver
Teams with race winner will receive $5
Teams in First through Fifth place will receive $5 for first, $4 for second $3 for 3rd, $2 for four and $1 for fifth.
All teams are required to participate in a $35 giveaway at each draft. The cost is $5 and you do not have to be present to win.
The team in first place after the Halfway race will receive $50.
All monies will be paid at the next draft.
